Tips For Keeping Your Workplace Clean and Well-Prepared for the Winter Season

Winter has well and truly arrived, and some of us are already feeling the bitter chill. By following these four simple tips below you can ensure that your workplace is kept clean and well-prepared for winter.

  1. Clean the microwave and inside the kettle

Many people can often overlook the importance of cleaning these everyday kitchen appliances. However, as it gets colder your staff are more likely to have more winter foods such as soup for lunch. They’re also going to want to keep warm with lots of cups of tea. Which is why it is so important to keep these appliances clean during the winter months.

  1. Prepare the entrance

We all know that with the winter months comes rain and snow, so be sure to prepare your entrances with umbrella stands and door mats. You don’t want to run the risk of leaves and snow being dragged in through your office or workplace.

  1. Clean the heaters

If you use electric heaters in your work place be sure to dust them off and give them a good clean before using them. There is nothing worse than the smell of burnt dust. Also, you won’t want dust being blown about the office by the heater. On a safety note, don’t forget to turn off your electric heaters before leaving the office!

  1. Polish the glasses

As we all know, winter brings lots of festive celebrations. So, make sure you’ve polished your wine glasses and champagne flutes just in case of a surprise end of work Christmas tipple with your staff. They probably wouldn’t have been used since last Christmas and no one wants to drink dusty champagne!
