5 kitchen cleaning tips to get your kitchen sparkling in 15 minutes

Why is it that no matter how hard you try the kitchen never seems to be clean? You can slave away for hours getting into every nook and cranny but just when you think you have everything gleaming, it’s time to cook dinner and you’re back to square one. Even if you manage to keep on top of the surfaces and dishes there is always more that can be done. How often do you clean inside the cupboards or empty and arrange the fridge/freezer properly? If the thought of a deep clean gives you a headache, here are some helpful tricks and tips to help you keep on top of it all.

Now we all know all it takes is a spaghetti dinner to turn your microwave from squeaky clean to a bomb site but now there is a quick & easy way to put the shine back into your microwave. All you need for this is lemon juice, hot water, and distilled vinegar.

Step 1: Fill a microwavable bowl with 1 cup of hot water

Step 2: Add roughly ½ cup of vinegar

Step 4: Heat on full power for 40 seconds

Step 5: Take a cloth or sponge and wipe away all the loose grime

Step 2: Pour in about ½ cup of baking soda and leave to sit

Step 3: Pour in 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of boiling water

Step 4: Cover if possible with the plug & leave for 10 minutes

Step 5: Pour boiling water to flush

Step 6: Repeat if necessary

You would think that the inside of your washing machine is squeaky clean with all that detergent going in day after day, however, you would be mistaken. Failing to clean your machine can lead to bad odours, germs, bacteria, and mold. Fortunately for you, there is a way of cleaning your washing machine with products you should have lying around the house.

Step 1: Add 4 cups of vinegar to the detergent dispenser

Step 2: Set your machine to the hottest temperature setting and the longest running cycle. Let it fill with water

Step 3: While the cycle is running, wipe down the exterior of the machine with a solution of ⅓ cup vinegar and hot water

Step 4: After the main cycle has finished run a rinse cycle. This is to get rid of any unwanted vinegar smells

Step 5: Wipe down drum with a clean rag
