Summer Holiday School Cleaning Checklist:
The six-week holidays are well underway and we are sure the kids are enjoying not being at school. However, work still needs to be done! The summer holidays are a perfect time to deep clean the whole school making sure it is nice and fresh for all staff and children to come back to in September. A healthy fresh environment will definitely help focus the children, ready for lots of learning!
School Cleaning Checklist:
Classrooms:
- Dust and wipe clean all surfaces and desks
- Dust all edges and corners of the classroom
- Vacuum and mop all floors
- Wipe clean plugs, switches and door handles
- Wipe clean all walls and touch up paint work if needs be
- Wipe and wash light covers and vacuum any light shades
- Wipe windows
- Empty and bleach any bins
Toilets and bathrooms:
- Bleach and deep clean ALL toilets
- Wash and wipe all sinks and soap dispensers
- Bleach tiles and wipe down walls
- Wipe clean any door handles and cubicle locks
- Mop and bleach all floors, especially around the toilet areas
- Wipe windows and mirrors clean
Staff-room:
- Vacuum and mop all floors
- Wipe clean any surfaces
- Deep clean fridges and any kitchen areas
- Tidy and dust paperwork areas
- Wipe clean switches, plugs and door handles
- Wipe and wash light covers and vacuum any light shades
- Wipe windows
- Empty and bleach bins
- Dust any edges and corners
- Vacuum sofas and any soft seating
Hallways and Gym areas:
- Sweep, mop and vacuum all flooring, making sure all edges and corners are reached
- Wipe windows
- Wipe clean switches, plugs and door handles
- Empty and bleach bins
- Wipe down any equipment
